The Handwriting on the Wall

This morning, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, “The handwriting is on the wall.”

At that moment, I had no idea those words came straight from the Book of Daniel. But like I always do when God speaks to me in the spirit, I went to His Word—after I googled it, and there it was, right there in Daniel 5.

In that chapter, King Belshazzar was living in pride and rebellion, ignoring every warning God had sent. Then suddenly, a divine hand appeared and wrote on the wall. That writing was a message of truth, correction, and judgment. It was God’s way of saying, “Enough.”

And I believe we’re seeing the same kind of moment right now. God is revealing what’s been hidden. Systems are shaking, leaders are being exposed, and truth is rising to the surface. But this isn’t just about correction—it’s about awakening. God is waking His people up.

He’s reminding us that He’s still in control, no matter what’s happening in the world or in our government. The Word says,

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulders.” — Isaiah 9:6

That means no matter how chaotic it looks down here, the real authority doesn’t rest on political systems or human power—it rests on God’s shoulders. He carries the weight of nations, and His Kingdom will not fall.

But here’s the part many forget: as God’s people, we’ve been given authority too. When Adam disobeyed God, he handed that authority over to the enemy. But through Christ, that power was restored to us—and we activate it through prayer.

Prayer isn’t just words—it’s warfare. When we pray God’s Word, things move. Heaven responds. Chains break. Governments shift. Because prayer is how the Kingdom of Heaven shakes things on earth.

So this is not the time to sit in fear or frustration—it’s the time to stand in faith and use your authority. Pray over this nation. Pray over leadership. Speak God’s Word into the atmosphere. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives inside of us, and He’s waiting for His people to declare what Heaven has already spoken.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” — Joel 2:28 / Acts 2:17

This is that moment. God is pouring out His Spirit across the earth. He’s stirring hearts, strengthening faith, and calling us to stand firm and walk upright. The handwriting we see all around us—politically, socially, spiritually—is not just a warning. It’s an invitation.
An invitation to align with His will, to wake up, and to return to Him fully.

So don’t be afraid of the handwriting—understand it.
God is still speaking. He’s still writing. And even in the shaking, His message is one of hope, healing, and restoration.

The same hand that wrote on the wall in Daniel’s day is writing on hearts today—reminding us that the government is on His shoulders, and that through prayer, His people carry the power to transform the earth.
