About Angie B
You’re probably on this page because you want to learn more about me.
But before I share the awards, titles, and accomplishments, I want you to know this:
The success you see today has been decades in the making.
Change didn’t come quickly—and it definitely wasn’t glamorous.
It was hard work. It was faith. It was learning to trust God when everything around me said “give up.”
There were seasons when I had to rebuild from the ground up—personally, financially, and spiritually. But through every trial, I discovered something powerful: obedience always leads to overflow.
Today, I’m an entrepreneur, author, and speaker with over 35 years of leadership experience in the construction industry. I’ve had the honor of owning my own construction company and being part of Detroit Public Schools’ $1.5 billion Capital Improvement Program, contributing to the construction of Howell Elementary School on Detroit’s east side.
I’m also the author of several books, including I Couldn’t Afford Not To and Be Aware of the Footprints You Leave Behind, which share my journey of faith, obedience, and perseverance. These books—and my podcast, “Business Minded with Angie B”—exist to help others build both business and belief, using the same faith principles that changed my life.
Over the years, I’ve been named one of the Top Ten Business Women of Distinction by the National Association of Women Business Owners, received testimonial resolutions from the Detroit City Council and Wayne County Clerk’s Office, and been featured in national magazines and newspapers for my work in a male-dominated field.
But if you take away one thing from my story, let it be this:
No matter how long it takes, change is possible.
When you mix faith with action, the results are always worth the wait.
